Eifelwürze in cylindric form – aged for five months

Eifelwürze in cylindric form – aged for five months – is an aromatic goat’s cut cheese. It is fully-made from goat’s milk, acidified with lactic acid, treated with natural rennet and salted. Its natural rind is suitable for consumption.

Eifelwürze tastes excellent with fresh brown or white bread. A full-bodied red wine fits best to this cheese.

Eifelwürze is a raw milk cheese which does not rot. The best way to store this cheese for a long time is to place a tea towel in saltwater, to wring it out and then to wrap it around the cheese. Afterwards, you can store the cheese in the fridge or in the cool cellar. If you repeat this process every three days, the cheese will keep its full flavour for a long time.

Eifelwürze is available either as a piece cut from a cylindric frorm or as a whole and is sold by our farm shop or by delicatessen and restaurants.
